Your customers' onboarding journeys differ depending on whether the account was created with an enterprise plan, or added as a standard customer who activates their assets with billing plans.

Standard customers

The basic customer journey for your standard business and consumer accounts is as follows:

  • Customers activate their account. They are either invited by a Tenant admin or Customer support user, or they sign up themselves through the login screen.
  • Customers activate their assets. The flows differ slightly if initiated by an authorized tenant user or an account owner, but the principle remains the same: to activate an asset, a billing plan is selected and the customer must agree to the terms and conditions attached.

The diagrams below illustrate the flows based on whether they are initiated by a tenant user or the customer.

After their assets are activated, customers can benefit from the features available to them. Depending on the billing plan selected for their assets, different features are available for their stations or cards. All other features are managed at tenant level. This means they are either enabled by default for all standard accounts, or enabled by a Tenant admin or Customer Support user for the account. Below is an overview of features and how they are managed.

Enterprise customers

The customer journey for your enterprise customers is as follows:

  • The tenant and enterprise customer negotiate and sign a contract. This includes pricing, features, and the date when the subscription becomes effective and happens outside of the Everon platform. It's up to the tenant to ensure the contract is stored safely.
  • A tenant user creates the customer's account with an enterprise plan. Based on the signed contract, a Tenant admin user, or a user assigned both the Customer support and Billing plan admin roles, adds an account with an enterprise plan.
  • A tenant user activates assets in the account. Optionally, they add their customer as an account owner so that they can activate assets themselves.

The diagrams below illustrate the journey based on whether a flow is initiated by the tenant or the customer.

As with billing plans, customers can fully benefit from platform features after their assets are activated. In contrast to billing plans, the subscription applies to the account and not to an individual asset. Therefore, all features apply at account level, and are available to the entire account hierarchy after the account has been created. Tenant admin users and users assigned the Customer support and Billing plan admin roles are authorized to enable or disable features and to change the subscription pricing in accordance with changes to the contract.
