Station owners are able to set offer their station to the public if they wish. To do so, a subscription that enables public charging must have been selected during activation of the station.

Stations that have been made public are available to:

  • All customers of the tenant who hold a public charge card.
  • Drivers who hold roaming cards issued by the tenant's roaming partners.

It's possible to hide the station from the public. If this option is selected, the station doesn't appear on any public maps.

Station tariffs and fees

The owner of a public station can opt to apply a tariff to the use of their station. Depending on the subscription, they can make a selection from the following tariffs:

  • Connection tariff: a fixed amount that is charged when the station is used.
  • Energy tariff: an amount per kWh consumed at the station.
  • Time tariff: an amount per minute for the duration of the charging transaction.

It is also possible to enter 0.00 in the tariff fields, thereby making the use of the station free to the public.

There may also be a transaction fee that applies to the public charging subscription. These are intended for the tenant to gain revenue for enabling station owners to offer their stations publicly. There are two fees possible:

  • Fixed fee: a fixed amount per public charging transaction that takes place on the station.
  • Percentage fee: a percentage of the total amount of the tariff of a public charging transaction.

These fees are deducted from the station owner’s tariff revenue.

Public charging is not available in all countries. It is important that your customer is aware that local regulations may prevent them from offering their station to the public.
