Billing plans consist of a product and a plan. Products are the set of features attached to a card or station that you want to price towards your customers. A product contains the following basic information:

  • A link to Subscription terms, which your customers can access when choosing their subscription.

  • The Country in which the product is available.

  • The product's Charging Features.

Plans establish the pricing, billing interval, and eligibility of a subscription. Plans are based on either a card or a station product. There can be multiple plans based on a single product, for example, a monthly or an annual pricing plan for a private charging station subscription. A plan defines the way in which the product is sold and it contains the following information:

  • The Product that the plan is based on and therefore also the Country it is available in;

  • Plan Eligibility: this differs per asset type and defines the type of user or asset that is able to select a subscription.

  • Plan Availability.

  • Pricing, Billing interval, and Transaction fees.

Station billing plans

Create a station product

To create a station billing plan, you must first create a station product.

  1. Go to Billing plans in the sidebar menu and click Products.
  2. Click the + icon to the bottom right of the screen and click Add station product.
  3. Enter the Basic information form.

    • Name: An internal name for references purposes. This name is not displayed to your customers.
    • Country: The country in which subscriptions based on this product are available.
    • Public name: The name of the product that is displayed to your customers.
    • Subscription terms: A link to terms and conditions that apply to subscriptions based on this product.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Define the Charging features that apply to subscriptions based on this product. Private charging is enabled by default. To enable public charging, click the Public charging checkbox. If you choose to make public charging available in subscriptions based on this product, you must enable at least one tariff. To enable a tariff:

    • Click the checkbox next to the tariff(s) you want to enable.
    • If you want to set a maximum tariff for your customers, enter it in the Max. tariff in CURR field(s) under the tariff(s) you have enabled.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Check the overview and create the station product by clicking Add product.

    You can click Previous on each form to make adjustments in a previous section if necessary.

Create a station plan

After you've created your product, you can create a station plan.

  1. Go to Billing plans → Plans.
  2. Click the + icon to the bottom right of the screen and click Add station plan.
  3. Enter the Basic information form:
    • Name of the plan
    • Select a Product that the plan should be based on from the dropdown.
    • The Country field is automatically filled based on the selected product.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Define the plan's eligibility:
    • Select GSM, WiFi, or both by clicking the checkboxes to determine the connectivity type a customer's station should have to be able to select the plan.
    • Select AC, DC, or both by clicking the checkboxes to determine the power type a customer's station should output to be able to select the plan.
    • Select Consumer, Business, or both by clicking the checkboxes.
    • Select a date from which the plan can be selected by a customer using the Available from calendar picker.
    • If you wish, select a date until which a customer is able to select the plan using the Available until calendar picker.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Enter a Price per month in CURR for the plan.
  8. Enter a Billing interval for the plan.
  9. If you have based the plan on a product that offers public charging, you can choose to apply at least one Public transaction fee:
    • Percentage fee: You keep a certain percentage of public charging transactions that took place on a station to which the plan applies.
    • Fixed fee: You keep a certain fixed amount for each transaction that takes place on a station to which the plan applies.
  10. Click Next.
  11. Check the overview to make sure everything is correct. Click Add plan to create the plan.

All prices that you enter are excluding VAT. The applicable VAT amount is calculated when the customer activates an asset, based on their account type and country.

Card billing plans

Create a card product

To create a station billing plan, you must first create a card product.

  1. Go to Billing plans → Products.
  2. Click the + icon to the bottom right of the screen and click Add card product.
  3. Enter the Basic information form:

    • Name: An internal reference name for the product. This name is not displayed to customers.
    • Country: The country in which the subscription based on this product is available.
    • Public name: The product name that is displayed to your customers.
    • Subscription terms: A link to terms and conditions that apply to subscriptions based on this product.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Define the Charging features for the product by choosing whether it should be available for public use as well as private. To enable public charging, click the checkbox.

    Private charging is enabled by default.

  6. Click Next.
  7. Check the overview and create the card product by clicking Add product.

    You can click Previous on each form to make adjustments to a previous section if necessary.

Create a card plan

After you've created your product, you can create a card plan.

  1. Go to Billing plans → Plans.
  2. Click the + icon to the bottom right of the screen and click Add card plan.
  3. Enter the Basic information form:
    • Name of the plan
    • Select a Product that the plan should be based on from the dropdown.
    • The Country field is automatically filled based on the selected product.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Define the plan's eligibility:
    • Select Consumer, Business, or both by clicking the checkboxes.
    • Select a date from which the plan can be selected by a customer using the Available from calendar picker.
    • If you wish, select a date until which a customer is able to select the plan using the Available until calendar picker.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Enter a Price per month in CURR for the plan.
  8. Enter a Billing interval for the plan.
